The Brazilian Symposium on Cybersecurity (SBSeg), formerly known as the Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computer Systems Security, is a scientific event held annually by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) under the responsibility of the SBC’s Special Cybersecurity Committee (CESeg). It represents the country’s main forum for disseminating research results, debates, exchange of ideas, and relevant information and computer systems security activities, integrating the Brazilian community of researchers and professionals working in this area. The event is classified as Qualis A4 by CAPES.
In 2025, the 25th edition of SBSeg will be organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) and the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) from September 1 to 4, 2025 in Foz do Iguaçu – Paraná. SBSeg25 will be a unique opportunity for participants to enjoy technical sessions, mini-courses, workshops, and lectures from internationally renowned guests. The event will be held in person.

SBSeg 2025 will be held from September 1 to 4, 2025 at the Mabu Thermas Grand Resort. The first resort in Brazil to obtain sustainability certification according to ABNT and elected one of the 25 best resorts in Brazil and South America by Trip Advisor, with more than 8,000m² of fully planned area and a capacity for more than 4,000 people simultaneously.

Foz do Iguaçu, a city in the Brazilian state of Paraná, is the main base for visiting the famous Iguaçu Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. Stretching for 2.7 km and crossing the border with Argentina, the falls are formed by hundreds of cascades, including the Devil’s Throat, which is 80 m high.
