SBSeg 2025: XXV Brazilian Symposium on Cybersecurity
Foz do Iguaçu – PR, September 1-4, 2025
Since introducing DREs in 1996, Brazil has been increasingly adopting electronic elections, with several technologies being continually incorporated into the system, such as security hardware and biometrics. The academic community, particularly the segment focused on Information Security, is an important part of this as it proposes and discusses improvements and promotes solutions with greater robustness, reliability, and auditability. Ultimately, this collaboration allows us to distinguish empty and fallacious criticisms, which have become very common in recent years, from fundamental points of improvement in the system.
The VII Electoral Technology Workshop is a scientific event organized as a satellite event of the XXV Brazilian Symposium on Information Security and Computer Systems (SBSeg 2025). The event’s main objective is to promote research in electoral technology, integrating the Brazilian community of researchers and professionals interested in issues related to electronic voting.
