SBSeg 2025: XXV Brazilian Symposium on Cybersecurity
Foz do Iguaçu – PR, September 1-4, 2025
The United Nations (UN) has designated 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Quantum Computing promises a revolution by enabling the resolution of problems intractable for classical computers, such as the factorization of large integers – many of which have significant implications for cybersecurity mechanisms (e.g., Asymmetric Cryptography). At the same time, quantum technologies offer the possibility of more secure communications based on the principles of quantum entanglement and quantum cryptography (e.g., the BB84 protocol).
The Quantum Cybersecurity Workshop: Theory, Technologies, and Applications (WQuSec) aims to bring together researchers and developers from academia and industry who are conducting research, projects, and applications in the field of quantum cybersecurity. Speakers and researchers will be invited to discuss and present their findings in this area.
Authors are invited to submit papers (up to 7 pages) or talks (up to 4 pages) presenting research and project results, new guidelines, critical perspectives, or lessons learned in either Portuguese or English. The format of the submissions must follow the guidelines for articles set by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).
Accepted and reviewed papers, following the recommendations of the Program Committee, will be published on the SBC’s SOL platform. Papers must be submitted exclusively in PDF format via the SBC’s JEMS system:

Dear authors, please review the SBC Code of Conduct (https://sol.sbc.org.br/index.php/indice/conduta), particularly regarding using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Researchers are invited to submit work on quantum cybersecurity related to various computing areas.
A non-exhaustive list of topics of interest includes:
The program will feature invited lectures from researchers and presentations of accepted papers, considering their relevance to the SBSeg community. The event aims to present, discuss, and debate research and project results, outline new guidelines, share critical perspectives, and highlight lessons learned.
Additionally, there will be space for discussions on open problems and future research directions and for fostering collaborative, multi-institutional, and interdisciplinary research networks among participants.
